Great razor. Agressive enought for a close shave yet still feels relativly smooth. I find the r89 too mild and though i like the r41 for a close shave, this one feels like the best middle ground for efficent and smooth.

Great Shaving Mug

Yes they are expensive relative to Taylor of Old Bond St. and D.R Harris, that said, once you use their shaving creams, after shave balms and fragrances, you understandy why. The Keig is a citrus fragrance you can almost use three seasons and at least on my skin has some staying power. Highly recommended.

The Colonel - Excellent brush!
I bought it as a gift for my youngest son. I wanted his first experience with a Badger brush to be a good one. This is a very nice looking brush with an amazing ergonomic handle. The Colonel holds lather well. The brush itself has a nice balance between being soft but also firm. I have used and own...I bought it as a gift for my youngest son. The brush itself has a nice balance between being soft but also firm. I have used and own several Simpson Brushes. They are very well made, iconic with over 100 years of history. For me, Simpson Best Badgers are the best!

Best Value in a Fine Shaving Soap
At age 71 I've used quite a few different brands of mug shaving soaps, the Muhle Sea Buckhorn soap is by far the best soap for a great shave for under $20.00! Quality never goes out of style!

It's my favorite aftershave lotion - love the smell of it. Not too soft and not to strong, very soothing after a close shave!! :) The scent reminds me of pipe tobacco.

Long time use, still going strong
I was gifted a Simpsons 'Special' brush back in 1997. That was 28 years ago. I'm STILL using it today and love the performance for my daily full-face shave. (I use G.F. Trumper hard soaps, religiously, that I buy from here) Perhaps a hair or three loss at first, but solid today. That's why we buy...I was gifted a Simpsons 'Special' brush back in 1997. Trumper hard soaps, religiously, that I buy from here) Perhaps a hair or three loss at first, but solid today. That's why we buy brands like Simpsons. They just work—continuously. And I have to APPLAUD Frendrihan for bringing together such absolutely wonder items. Anyhow, just to check the difference, I am still considering a Simpsons Trafalgar T1 synthetic fibre brush. Hopefully before the new year.

I got 20 shaves from a Merkur blade in a Muhle R89 razor
Amazing. It still shaves but I wanted to try the other blades in my 50-blade samper pack. That one blade does not want to get dull. The other blades I have tried with my new razor are Muhle, Tiger and Astra blue box (Russia). The Merkur blade is the clear winner of those 3.

This was my first time buying the Paisley. I’ve used Windsor and it lasted well over a year (I’m not a heavy sweater or have strong scent). This was very citrusy and full of patchouli, it’s truly Lovely and I will buy it again. Compared to the Windsor or Arlington, it doesn’t last as long, but not...This was my first time buying the Paisley. The scent is so refreshing and unique - light - that you will want it around as an option if not everyday.

A couple of drops - rub hands - apply post shave and doesn’t feel oily. Comparatively I would say the cream gives just as much of a film as the oil but you end up using more. So still a great day to day product but will return to the oil after this is used.

If you're looking for a stainless steel straight razor, I highly recommend buying this specific razor, or the Dovo Encina. I now have both, they're the exact same blade bank from back in the early 2000's the scales are so beautiful, the images displayed do not do them justice. This Windsor Shaving Cream is the first shaving cream I've tried from D.R Harris. It gave me the slickest feeling shave I've ever had and left me very impressed! Highly recommended

I wanted to try this and got the introductory model. Very impressed with how it shaves. I have sensitive skin that nicks easily, but this has not been the case with one blade. Follow the directions included with the razor and you’ll get a pretty close shave. It’s rapidly becoming my go to razor. I...I wanted to try this and got the introductory model. I have one suggestion for the manufacturer - the handle can feel a bit slippery when shaving soap gets on it so I have to rinse it more often for control while shaving. I might try putting some waterproof medical tape with some surface grip around the handle to see if that helps.

This is a nice shaving cream and being organic is a plus. The sense is mild and clean. A nice size for travel. Not as thick as some of the other creams I’ve tried so I find I need to add a little bit more for a second pass.
